Tanzania Production Base Completes Equipment Maintenance to Strengthen Peak-Season Supply

Backbone East Africa
Tanzania production base operation update
Backbone Tanzania continues to improve production readiness and delivery reliability for regional customers.

Backbone Tanzania has completed a new round of preventive equipment maintenance at its production base, covering core production lines, material handling areas, quality inspection points and finished goods dispatch processes. The work is part of the company’s continuous effort to improve production stability during periods of higher market demand.

The maintenance program focused on practical operating reliability. The team reviewed key mechanical components, checked electrical control systems, calibrated selected measuring devices and inspected safety protection points across the facility. Production, quality and warehouse teams also reviewed handover procedures to reduce avoidable waiting time between work stages.

Stable production capacity is an important foundation for serving livestock farmers and channel partners across East Africa.

Improving Supply Continuity

During peak seasons, feed producers must manage raw material availability, formulation consistency and delivery timing at the same time. Backbone Tanzania is strengthening this operating foundation through preventive maintenance, process checks and closer coordination between procurement, production and sales teams.

The base will continue to use batch records, product quality feedback and delivery data to improve daily scheduling. These measures are designed to help the local team respond faster to customer demand while maintaining consistent product quality.

Supporting Regional Growth

Backbone East Africa is building an integrated agri-food value chain across Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. Reliable local production capability is a core part of that plan, supporting farmers with stable feed supply and practical technical service.

The company will keep investing in operational management, team training and customer service systems. By improving the basics of production and delivery, Backbone aims to create long-term value for farmers, distributors and regional food supply partners.
